Emergency Medical Responder Course
Our Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course is a 56-hour course, offered as part of our health education series. It is designed to introduce our students to basic life support and emergency medical care for the first minutes of an emergency until advanced EMS help arrives.
Our curriculum follows current American Red Cross and American Safety and Health Institute’s EMR certification guidelines.
Typical participants in our EMR program include police officers, firefighters (paid or volunteer), security professionals, and industrial emergency response personnel.

Does this course meet requirements for the National Registry Exam?
Upon successful completion of the EMR program, a certification card will be issued.
We are working with our current Medical Director and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services – Bureau of Emergency Medical Services to be recognized as an accredited training entity. Once we have completed the process, we will be able to award students a certificate to participate in the written examination to become certified by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians as an Emergency Medical Responder.
